Malique Ewin and Nick Pringle, recent transfers to the Razorbacks, showcased their skills during an intrasquad scrimmage in Hot Springs, potentially securing their spots in the starting lineup for the upcoming season.

"A strong post presence is essential," Calipari emphasized at the SEC media days. "We need to be able to rely on our big men for easy baskets. That's how we advanced last season with Jonas Aidoo."
The search for that reliable post player continues, and Ewin and Pringle are in the running. Ewin, who transferred from Florida State, and Pringle, formerly of South Carolina, bring different strengths to the table.
"I've played against Nick before," Trevon Brazile, a forward on the team, shared. "His game has evolved since joining us at Arkansas. We know he'll bring elite rebounding and a physical presence."
Brazile also had high praise for Ewin, calling him "as skilled as anyone I've played with."
The lineup is shaping up with Darius Acuff Jr. at point guard, D.J. Wagner at shooting guard, and Karter Knox and Trevon Brazile at forward. The post position remains a question mark, with Ewin and Pringle vying for the spot.
The Razorbacks will face Cincinnati on October 24th and Memphis on October 27th in exhibition games, providing further opportunities to fine-tune the lineup. The season officially tips off against Southern at Walton Arena on November 3rd.
And here's where it gets interesting: the lineup could shift significantly within the next two weeks. Freshmen like Isaiah Sealy and Meleek Thomas are expected to make an impact, especially with their impressive performances in the scrimmage.
"I'm excited to share the court with all the returning players," Wagner said. "They're talented, and I'm looking forward to another year with them. Karter, Billy, and Trevon will be key contributors."
The team has also welcomed international talent, including Karim Rtail from Lebanon, Elmir Dzafic from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Paulo Semedo from Angola. While Semedo brings unique height, he may need time to adjust to the team's dynamics.
